The Teabag Boxing System
is a simplified version of a real system used in the
production chain of packed teabags. The system receives
teabags from a teabag producer, checks their weight and
forwards them either for packaging to a legal-teabag
consumer, if the weight is in the accepted range, otherwise
to an illegal-teabag consumer for recycling. A belt is
required to be in operation only in the presence of teabags
on it. If the last teabag leaves the belt the TBCS is
required to stop the belt. TBS is composed of:
a) a scale that weighs
teabags,
b) a feeder that rejects
out-of-range teabags, and
c) three conveyor belts
that move teabags to their destination.
The figure below presents
a simplified diagram of the Teabag Boxing system.

The Teabag Boxing System Mechanical
Process Simulator
The
simulator of the Teabag Boxing mechanical process provides
socket interfaces for the sensor and actuator signals and
can be used for testing and demonstrating the TBCS
application. The figure below shows the graphical interface
of this simulator in operation.

Instructions on how to use
the TBS mechanical process simulator. You
can
download this simulator and use it for running and
testing your Teabag Boxing control application. |
