Announcement of ETFA08 Special Session on the impact of IEC standards in Automation Systems Development

CfP: Special Session on “Development of Automation Systems: The impact of IEC standards” in ETFA’08,  Hamburg, Germany.

 

CALL FOR PAPERS

 

 

We would like to thank you once again for your contribution in making ETFA 2006 and 2007 Special Session a great success (see related report06 report07 and Special Sessions program06 program07).
Due to the great success of the previous two Special Sessions on IEC61499 and the great interest from academia and industry to this event, the 3rd Special Session on this series is organized in the context of the
13th IEEE International Conference on Emerging Technologies and Factory Automation (ETFA’08), Hamburg, Germany.
We are glad to invite you to submit your new results on the IEC standards related issues in this Special Session and we are hoping that we are all together make through this event a significant contribution to the development of distributed Automation Systems.

Theoretical issues related to the IEC standards as well as their integration and use in practice will be presented and discussed. See attached CfP. pdf
 
If you are interested,
I would appreciate if you send us a short note with indication of whether you plan a submission and if possible the proposed title, the author list and a 3-6 lines abstract that will help us to organize the SS. Papers will undergo the reviewing process of the IEEE and will be submitted following the regular submission process of ETFA conference. You may check the conference web site (http://www.etfa2008.org/) for further details.
