Kleanthis
Thramboulidis presented the current status of the IEC61499 regarding the
academic and industry view. He identified undefined execution semantics that
make the development of execution environments a difficult task and a source of incompatibility. He discussed alternatives and proposed
solutions to ease integration
and briefly described two prototype execution environments based on RTAI (real-time Linux) |

Julien
Chouinard presented a paper
that describes an IEC61499 testbed with 70 cooperating controllers, that was created by ICS
Triplex in order to assess the IEC 61499 capabilities and test different
types of configurations. Julien Chouinard presented the testbed and three applications
they have developed to investigate the
IEC61499 capabilities. |
Julien
Chouinard presented the live demonstration of the three applications: the signal
propagation, the train application and the impressive Orchestra application. |
